On behalf of a structural steel fabrication and erection subcontractor, evaluated the merits of delay claims asserted against the general contractor and delay claims from the general contractor associated with a sports stadium constructed to open prior to the 2024 World Cup soccer tournament in Qatar.

On behalf of the owner, performed an independent review of the contractor’s delay claim related to curtain wall design, procurement, and construction for a high-end residential tower project. Prepared an expert report presenting findings and conclusions regarding the delay issues for the civil claim before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Wrote an expert report for an owner regarding a Construction Manager’s (CM) project management performance on the construction of a new hospital facility. The contract was CM at risk with a guaranteed maximum price contract of $280 million. The project scope consisted of a seven-story acute care tower, two-story base facility, six-story medical office building, underground parking and two-story parking structure, and central energy plant. The project incurred over one year of critical path delay, ultimately resulting in the owner terminating the CM for default.

A hospital facility was badly damaged during a major hurricane. Provided full insurance claim review services. Worked with claim adjusters to assess and review actual damage and required construction repair services. This involved a full construction assessment of building, services, and medical equipment damages including time/costs and rectification budget for repair and/or total replacement of facility.

Performed claims analysis, construction oversight, contract administration, and expert testimony for a surety involved in the mechanical installations on a prison project.

Prepared a contractor’s $250,000 change request for delay and disruption associated with structural, mechanical, and electrical design changes in the construction of a correctional facility.
